so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."
We meet on Wednesday nights at
Birchwood Elementary school gym at 6:30PM and end at 8PM. We
play games, sing, and take an indepth look to how God's Word
applies to our life today. This Wednesday night get together is
called Word 2 LIfe.It is based off of our mission statement. It is a time
to read, listen, and discuss how to apply the truth to our everyday
life. Also, it serves as an environment to get away from the stress of
your life and be encouraged through recreation, worship, and the
reading of the scripture.
C.O.R.E. group is at 9:45. We are currently using
KNOWN material. The strategy of spritiual development for
students through KNOWN is "Know what you believe", "Own
what you believe," and make is "Known." It uses Luke 2:52 that
says, "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor
with God and with people."
So the Know is upward development of "Lordship" and
"Disciplines."
Own is inward development of "Character" and "Discernment."
Known is outward development of "Relationships"
and "Influence."

How to Grow as a Disciple (Having a Quiet Time)
This is the first message on discipleship. This message was practical in demonstrating how to have a quiet time. Along with showing them how to navigate an online Bible to read commentaries.
Practicing Prayer
This week we took a look at the practical side of prayer. It was presented to the youth a couple of different ways to pray to God using Scripture and meditation.
The Model Prayer
We broke down the Lord's Prayer, which should be entitled the "Model Prayer" because Jesus could never pray "forgive us of our sins." We got a better understanding of each part of the prayer.
