Slight Mix-up

I will not be posting anything new today, because I posted chapters 8 and 9 together yesterday, since chapter 8 and 9 are a better match than 7 and 8. I commented on 8 and 9 together although the computer schedule I was following had Jan 5th reading as Mt 7-8. I was made aware that our printed schedule had chapters 7 and 8 on two days rather than one. So I encourage you to make your comments from chapter 9 here on this post.

I have read Matthew many times, but I am always amazed with chapter 9 verses 20-22 about the woman with an issue of blood.  She believed if she could only touch the hem of Jesus's garment she would be made whole.  Here she had only heard people talking about Jesus.  She did not know Him as we who are Christians claim to know Him yet we don't even have a fraction of her faith when things go wrong in our lives.  We need to have the faith this woman had.  Yes, we cannot actually physically touch His garment, but we can go to Him at any time any place and He will be there.  It thrills my heart to know this.

My Study Bible says that this was to allow Jesus to continue His ministry. I find it interesting that Jesus told those He healed during that time to not tell anyone so that His ministry wouldn't be hindered. However, when we are instructed to go tell others about Him, we don't. Thus, hindering His ministry.
