On Sunday, August 30th, Pastor David Delmotte issued a challenge to the congregation to take what money they had brought for their tithe and use it to be a blessing to someone through the week. The congregation was given a week deadline to use this money to be a blessing and witness in someone's life.
We want you to share your stories of how you were able to be a blessing or how you have been blessed by someone. The anonimity of your act or the act done for you is up to your discretion.

We sought the Lord's guidance and narrowed to two families. God had blessed us with overtime so we were lead to double his helping. My family has issued an all out assault on debt. We have paid off two of our four Credit cards and God is so blessing our finances. Praise to God for all he is and is doing for us. May the God of peace and mercy be praised in your life also.

Maybe we should have just went up to them and gave them some money for their lunch?  Once we have used all of our offering to bless others we will post additional comments.  I Cor. 1:27 & I John 3:17

Remembering what our pastor asked us to do, I did the payroll deducation and also gave a one time gift (my tithe). Well, two days later I received a late card that had a check in it for the exact amount that I had given. So it's true, you can't out give God!

We were allowed to help a friend with some personal expenses for an upcoming family event with part of our tithe/offering this week.  We shared with the friend about the challenge from Pastor Dave on Sunday and asked that they try to do something for someone else that would be a blessing for them.  They were so grateful for the blessing they received.  We are also sending the balance of our tithe/offering to a pastor friend and telling him and his family about the challenge we received on Sunday from Pastor Dave and asking them to use these funds in whatever way God may lead them.  We are hoping to see God use this challenge in the lives of the folks at Birchwood and other churches / places as He sees fit.

One of your church members came and made a donation to the Center because of the “dare” you gave on Sunday morning.  I thought you would want to know that someone took the dare.

We gifted our full tithe to one family in our community.  They are currently having a particularly tough time financially.

We gave my tithe to 10/40 Connections to buy a well for people somewhere in India. Two years ago was the first time I gave for a well. It was a baby shower gift in honor of the birth of my cousin’s daughter, Joeli. Chad and Leslie Segraves (my cousins) are co-founders and presidents of 10/40 Connections based here in Chattanooga. When they told their Indian connection about the well given in their daughter’s honor, the man began to call it the Joeli Drinking Water Project. I was very excited to provide funds for another well.

All for the glory of God
